I had been doing the volume training program for handstand pushups and was getting good results but ultimately stopped one week before the full month due to some awful tension headaches I was experiencing. I've had them before, mostly when doing heavy max lifts and straining hard. It feels like someone is hitting your temples with a hammer from the inside for 10-20 minutes. So I stopped the volume program and last Wednesday through Sunday off and my head has felt great.
For the month of August I'll have to start doing another volume program, most likely muscle ups or pistols. I'll start those next week when I'm sure the headaches are gone.
Notable training updates:
On July 21st I set a new deadlift 1RM of 420. I've hit that weight before but with lifting straps.
On the 26th we did a metcon that involved pull ups and farmers carries with 52# kettlebells. I hate farmers carries because I suck at them and must improve.

The next day we did weighted chest to bar chin ups and I was able to do one with an extra 90#. Apparently they did this at the CrossFit games and most guys were doing between 100-130 so I feel pretty good about this.
